VIEWCAST PROVIDES SNEAK PEEK INTO FUTURE TECHNOLOGIES

Viewcast demonstrated Windows Media 9 Series hardware-based encoding at NAB 2003

DALLAS (April 15, 2003) � ViewCast Corporation, (VCST.OB), a leading global provider of high-quality video communications for businesses and media enterprises, provided a glimpse into the future of digital media content creation. In collaboration with Texas Instruments and Microsoft, ViewCast Osprey Video demonstrated real-time hardware encoding at the National Association of Broadcasters exposition (NAB 2003) using Windows Media 9 Series, the latest digital media technology from Microsoft released in January.

The demonstration was held in the Microsoft booth # SL136 and built on recent announcements by Microsoft and Texas Instruments to port the Windows Media 9 Series to powerful TMS320C64X TI DSP platform.

ViewCast unveiled this technology preview with the intention of garnering market feedback and bringing in early development partners and integrators.
